Interested in adopting one of our senior dogs?

It's easy! First, make note of the dog's name and then move on to the online adoption application.

After your application is approved, we will coordinate a time for a meet and greet with you and the senior dog you are applying to adopt.

If you (and your family) and the dog are a good match for each other, a home visit is then scheduled and completed.

After a home visit is complete, the adoption can be finalized and a new happy tail can be told!

Tootsie came to us with many thanks to a kind-hearted shelter staff who agreed to foster her. 
She is a spunky 8-year-old, 8 lb gal who needed a hind leg amputation but she sure hasn’t skipped a beat (sssssshhhhh [🤫] she doesn't know she's a tripod).

She is good with other dogs, cats and gentle kiddos.

She's doing very well with her house training. When home alone, she uses the pee pads and, when someone is home, she's good about going outside.

Tootsie is doing well on training and recall. She has found ALL the cat beds in her foster home and loves them each and every one. She loves to cuddle and loves tummy rubs. Although shy at first, she’s improving

with being social after being given a moment to settle in. She warms up to women first, and takes more time with men.

She will be going to our vet on April 6th for her much-needed dental and spay surgery. After this, she's ready to get serious about finding her forever and ever family!
