Teeny tiny Tinker originally came to us from Oakland Animal Services. She was turned in as a stray and the poor girl remained at the shelter for 5 months. She was adopted from Tails of Gray by the most amazing doggy mom in the world, who unexpectedly passed away. Tinker is back with us and we are looking for a very special home for her.
She is very shy in the beginning, then warms up and is sweet and affectionate once she trusts. She gets along with other dogs once she gets to know them and would likely be fine with respectful cats.
Tinker is 5.5 lbs and about 13 years old. She is vision impaired but navigates her way around well enough.
It's likely that she was not treated well in the past and she will do best in an adult home where things can move at her pace. She can have an attitude at times so will need some patience. She promises to be a devoted companion who doesn't take up too much room on your bed.

APPLY TO ADOPT
Interested in adopting one of our senior dogs?
It's easy! First, make note of the dog's name and then move on to the online adoption application.
After your application is approved, we will coordinate a time for a meet and greet with you and the senior dog you are applying to adopt.
If you (and your family) and the dog are a good match for each other, a home visit is then scheduled and completed.
After a home visit is complete, the adoption can be finalized and a new happy tail can be told!
