Stevie has had it rough so far, as he was confiscated from his home for mistreatment and neglect. He was severely matted when he came to the shelter and lost an entire 2 lbs when he was shaved down. The good news is that he's relieved to put that part of his life in the past and is only looking ahead from now on.
He is a sweet little guy who gets along with other dogs and has been friendly toward kids and cats. It's all about catching up on love, hugs and snuggles for him!
10 year old Stevie is underweight at 5.8 lbs and is working on gaining some weight. He has limited vision but sees well enough to navigate his way around just fine. He even gets excited when the foster family's cat walks into the room and he wants to play!
Life has been so tough and unfair for Stevie but it's all good from now forward. We know that he will be a wonderful and devoted little companion to his lucky forever family.

After your application is approved, we will coordinate a time for a meet and greet with you and the senior dog you are applying to adopt.

If you (and your family) and the dog are a good match for each other, a home visit is then scheduled and completed.

After a home visit is complete, the adoption can be finalized and a new happy tail can be told!
