Interested in adopting one of our senior dogs?

It's easy! First, make note of the dog's name and then move on to the online adoption application.

After your application is approved, we will coordinate a time for a meet and greet with you and the senior dog you are applying to adopt.

If you (and your family) and the dog are a good match for each other, a home visit is then scheduled and completed.

After a home visit is complete, the adoption can be finalized and a new happy tail can be told!

I am Seamus (“Shaymus”) and I am a 10 year old Westie mix. Don’t let my senior status stop us from meeting. I am still young at heart and still have a lot of pep in my step. I love laying on the couch with you and going on long walks. I am great on a leash, but will need my new parent to keep training me not to walk in front of you when I see that tempting bush to sniff.
I am very gentle and love everyone, including other dogs. I don’t bark much and I am house trained. I still need to learn how to use the doggie door. I try, but I just haven’t quite gotten the hang of it yet.
I am being introduced to foods I’ve never had before and am working on gaining some weight. My doctor says that I have an (inoperable due my low-grade heart murmur) cyst on my backend and, while it doesn't bother me now, it will need to be monitored to make sure it doesn't bother me. 
I'll be neutered prior to adoption.
I am hard of hearing, but that doesn’t stop me. My foster mom is teaching me a few hand signals so I know what she wants me to do.
