Oscar came to us from the local shelter after being overlooked for cuter and younger models. We heard about him and his foster mom ran right out and picked him up asap from the shelter.
He settled right into his foster home and has been a great house guest to have around. He is a quirky little guy who loves his foster momma and he also loves to "protect" her from the scary world. He's harmless but takes a little time to warm up to new friends. He does, though! Oscar does fine with other dogs.
He came to us missing much of his lower jaw and all of his teeth and we don't know how this happened. It is possible that it's a birth defect and he's just learned to live with it. Eating time had to be figured out for him, as he struggled a bit, but now he's got the system down and is a well-fed little lad!
Oscar enjoys short walks (is also used to be carried now when tired), is lively and he's a fun little guy who just loves life. We know that he will make a loving, loyal companion for a very lucky family!

APPLY TO ADOPT
Interested in adopting one of our senior dogs?

It's easy! First, make note of the dog's name and then move on to the
online adoption application.

After your application is approved, we will coordinate a time for a meet and greet with you and the senior dog you are applying to adopt.

If you (and your family) and the dog are a good match for each other, a home visit is then scheduled and completed.

After a home visit is complete, the adoption can be finalized and a new happy tail can be told!
