Interested in adopting one of our senior dogs?

It's easy! First, make note of the dog's name and then move on to the online adoption application.

After your application is approved, we will coordinate a time for a meet and greet with you and the senior dog you are applying to adopt.

If you (and your family) and the dog are a good match for each other, a home visit is then scheduled and completed.

After a home visit is complete, the adoption can be finalized and a new happy tail can be told!

Lexi moved to South Lake Tahoe and enjoyed a beautiful life with her forever mom and her beagle brother Darwin. She is sorely missed but fondly remembered.

Lexi is a gentle soul who experienced a lot of heartbreak recently. It is our mission to help her find her happy again.
She has lost her original home, an adoptive home and, perhaps saddest of all, she was separated from her brother when she was returned to the local shelter without him. The adoptive family felt he was a good match for them but apparently not her. Understandably, losing her lifelong friend has left her heartbroken. 
Lexi is a kind girl who gets along with other dogs. We are looking for an adult home for her because she may become overwhelmed when around children. This may eventually change as she settles in and feels more comfortable.
Our dear Lexi is brand new to us and we will post an updated bio and new photos soon.
