Sweet and gentle Emmylou came to us from the rural Avenal shelter. She is a very sweet and meek little girl who looks like a miniature border collie.
She's very cute with lots of white on her chest, feet and tail. She prefers to be an indoor doggy and is house-trained. 
Emmylou is also good with other dogs and cats.
We think she is about 12 years old and 24 lbs.
Now that she's finally receiving some TLC, Emmylou is perking up. She's gained some weight, and is becoming more stable on her back legs. 
Emmylou would love to be in a quiet home with someone who works from home or is retired. She will do best with a regular schedule and a peaceful environment.

It's easy! First, make note of the dog's name and then move on to the online adoption application.

After your application is approved, we will coordinate a time for a meet and greet with you and the senior dog you are applying to adopt.

If you (and your family) and the dog are a good match for each other, a home visit is then scheduled and completed.

After a home visit is complete, the adoption can be finalized and a new happy tail can be told!
