Interested in adopting one of our senior dogs?

It's easy! First, make note of the dog's name and then move on to the online adoption application.

After your application is approved, we will coordinate a time for a meet and greet with you and the senior dog you are applying to adopt.

If you (and your family) and the dog are a good match for each other, a home visit is then scheduled and completed.

After a home visit is complete, the adoption can be finalized and a new happy tail can be told!

Deep thinker Chauncey was picked up as a stray and never claimed. He was looked over at the shelter simply due to his grey muzzle. He is our quiet boy, our old soul... 
We believe that he carries with him a history of physical abuse and we are looking for a calm and gentle home. As he continues to deal with some fear issues at times, he needs a patient home where he won't be around children. 
He is about 10 years old and is 12 lbs. He seems to get along with dogs of all sizes.
Chauncey is very affectionate, loves to hug his people and is a huge snuggler. He enjoys being with his family but also does ok home alone.
Chauncey loves belly rubs, a little play time here and there and loves to go on walks. If you are searching for a truly loyal and devoted companion, Chauncey is the one.
