Perla is a sweetheart who is settling in wonderfully to her foster home and slowly realizing that she is safe and sound. She is a quiet, calm, and low-maintenance companion who spends most of her day sleeping and relaxing in familiar spaces where she feels safest.
Perla is blind and may be close to deaf, and enjoys life in the slow lane. She does best with a predictable routine. In her foster home, she eats and drinks outside twice a day, which encourages her to go potty outdoors immediately afterward. She also reliably uses pee pads indoors in her pen area when needed.
Our little one is 14 years old and a whopping 12.4 pounds. She came to us rather neglected and has been catching up on much-needed care while regaining her health. She has been cleared for a dental procedure and will be available for adoption shortly after.
She doesn’t ask for much, mostly just TLC, and would love a quiet, loving home to retire in.

It's easy! First, make note of the dog's name and then move on to the online adoption application.

After your application is approved, we will coordinate a time for a meet and greet with you and the senior dog you are applying to adopt.

If you (and your family) and the dog are a good match for each other, a home visit is then scheduled and completed.

After a home visit is complete, the adoption can be finalized and a new happy tail can be told!
