Lily is a gentle, kind little girl who recently lost her mom, so she came to us feeling unsure and a bit scared. She enjoys exploring the backyard, but when she's inside, she often feels safest relaxing in her crate. Having lived a very sheltered life, so much of the world is brand new to her, and she's taking it all in one day at a time. With patience, love, and a little time, her confidence continues to blossom.
Lily is estimated to be 8–10 years old and weighs about 14 pounds.
During her vet exam, we learned that Lily has a grade 5 heart murmur, and she has been started on medication to help manage it. Her adopter will need to continue monitoring her heart throughout her life, but many dogs with heart murmurs go on to live happy, comfortable lives.
Lily gets along well with both dogs and cats and would thrive in a calm, quiet home where she can continue to build her confidence at her own pace. She's an absolute cutie patootie with the sweetest, gentlest eyes. She doesn't ask for much - just a loving family to call her own.

APPLY TO ADOPT
Interested in adopting one of our senior dogs?

It's easy! First, make note of the dog's name and then move on to the
online adoption application.

After your application is approved, we will coordinate a time for a meet and greet with you and the senior dog you are applying to adopt.

If you (and your family) and the dog are a good match for each other, a home visit is then scheduled and completed.

After a home visit is complete, the adoption can be finalized and a new happy tail can be told!
