After your application is approved, we will coordinate a time for a meet and greet with you and the senior dog you are applying to adopt.

If you (and your family) and the dog are a good match for each other, a home visit is then scheduled and completed.

After a home visit is complete, the adoption can be finalized and a new happy tail can be told!

Chewy, named for his resemblance to the adorable Ewoks from Star Wars, is a sweet, loving neutered male with a gentle soul. Weighing approximately 20 pounds and standing about 16 inches tall at the shoulder, he has a beautiful multicolored coat that does not shed.
Chewy is affectionate with everyone he meets and has shown a special fondness for children. He loves other dogs, is friendly with cats, and has an exceptionally gentle nature. He takes treats enthusiastically but delicately, is a good eater, and keeps his food and water area neat and tidy.
An easy companion in every way, Chewy is fully house-trained, walks nicely on a leash without pulling, and stays attentive to his person. The vet estimates he is about 8 years old, which is the perfect age: he is still eager for adventures, yet equally content to relax quietly at home.
Chewy rides well in the car, is not prone to barking, and has shown no signs of separation anxiety. He would make a wonderful companion for someone looking for a calm, affectionate, well-mannered best friend to share life's adventures and quiet moments alike.
